Abstract:

The Community Centers, which were opened on February 19, 1932, are the cultural development projects of the Republic. It carried out activities in 9 different branches of activity: Community Centers, Language, History and Literature, Representation, Sports, Fine Arts, Ruralism, Public Classrooms and Courses, Library and Publication, Museum and Exhibition and Social Aid. Community Center activities in Aydın started with the establishment of Aydın Community Center on February 19, 1932. After Aydın Community Center, Nazilli, Söke, Bozdoğan, Germencik, Horsunlu, Karacasu, Guides, Sultanhisar, Umurlu, Yenipazar, Karapınar (İncirliova), Kuyucak Community Centers were opened. Çine Community Center, on the other hand, completed its establishment on February 20, 1938 and started activities for the social and cultural development of the region. Between 1938-1951, it operated with 5 branches, namely Sports Branch, Representation Branch, Social Aid Branch, Ruralism Branch, Library and Publication Branch, within the body of the Community Center, which is the center of the republic's modernization in Çine for 13 years. In this research, based on archival documents, official publications, the press of the period and memoirs, the activities carried out by the Community Center for the development of the town of Çine in all aspects during the establishment of the Republic will be evaluated.
