Abstract:

In 2020, educational activities were disrupted due to the Covid-19 epidemic. In order to reduce the learning loss arising from this situation, teaching activities have started to be carried out on digital media. In order to determine the problems related to these activities, the issue needs to be dealt with scientifically. The aim of this research is to determine student attitudes towards religious culture and moral knowledge lessons in the distance education process. The study was designed with quantitative methods. The sample group of the study consists of students from Zara district of Sivas province. The data of the study were obtained by "Religion Culture and Moral Knowledge Course Attitude Scale" developed by Özdemir and Çelik. The data obtained in the study were analyzed through the SPSS package program. In the analysis process, it was determined whether the students' attitudes towards the course differ significantly depending on the effect of independent variables. According to the results of the research, the students' attitudes towards the religious culture and moral knowledge lessons on digital media are high. However, their willingness to participate in classes is moderate. Students 'attitudes differ significantly according to the variables of school type, education level, religious culture and ethics course success, and teachers' use of interesting digital material. The research is important because it is one of the limited studies on the evaluation of distance education related to religious education.
