The Pınarbaşı Postas newspaper was published as the first local newspaper of the Pınarbaşı district in the period when the Democratic Party was politically the strongest. The newspaper, published in a total of 12 numbers, has made intense efforts in the name of the province of Pınarbaşı, starting from the possibility that some districts in Turkey appear before the elections of 1954. It is reminded of the Democratic Party's power that has sufficient characteristics as a historical, cultural and geographical location to be the province. In that process, Nevşehir and Namıyaman's state has encouraged the Pınarbaşı newspaper to ask for the state status from the Democratic Party. After the elections were made in 1954, the newspaper that did not continue to broadcast the life of Pınarbaşı's dream of being a province in the election process, and when this did not realize, the broadcast life ended. In the period of its publication, Pınarbaşı was an instrument in the transmission of the needs and expectations of the district to the municipality, the governor and the government. The newspaper gives an image that admire and supports the government’s policies in general. In the event that his expectations were not met, he did not stop criticizing the same government again. Although the newspaper provides important information about the political, economic and social situation of the Pınarbaşı district during the Democratic Party government period, it is a local newspaper, the national news has also been placed in its columns. In this study, the news in the Pınarbaşı Postas newspaper, which attempts to announce this request to the government of a district who wants to be a province, will be examined by the Pınarbaşı district in the Democratic Party period.
