Abstract:

Traditional Turkish women's titles are important cultural heritage that provides information about the place and clothing culture, social status and socio-economic status of the period to which they belong. The diversity of traditional Turkish women’s titles reflects the wealth of the Anadolu culture. The titles, one of the values that form a cultural bridge between the past and the future, provide information about the status of the Anadolu woman in the family and the place in society. The motives and accessories in the titles show that the Turkish woman has been using titles in a variety of forms and dimensions throughout the history of Central Asia and Anatolia. Castamonu or Tosya district traditional women's headlines are a variety of important values that continue to remain loyal to its essence today. Topics, which are the complementary of the local clothes, continue to decorate the heads of the bride girls, decorated with real gold or imitation gold in the wedding ceremonies, even if they are still few in Tosya. In the traditional Turkish culture, the Kastamonu or Tosya district has been addressed in terms of being an important place for traditional women’s headlines. In this study in the Kastamonu's Tosya district in the past and in the time used today, changes have been revealed to the present day. The method of research is defined as the study of written sources. The results of the research in the district have been completed as the examination, observation and translation of findings in the text.

Method of research, analysis of written sources as a result of the research conducted in the district, the examination, observations and findings were completed as a transfer to the text.
