Photovoltaic (PV) power is rapidly improving at a gross annual rate, and it is also quickly becoming a crucial part of an integrated distribution network. The increasing penetration level of solar PV over distribution grid also brings new challenges for distribution engineers. The conventional distribution system was prepared and functioned for the unidirectional power flow from the utility source towards end-use loads. Intermittent nature of solar PV output and higher penetration forces the regular tap changing of on-load tap changing transformer (OLCT), sudden voltage rise, relay miscoordination, significant deviation in short-circuit current and increase in harmonic distortion. The present paper analyzed the effects of Distributed Generation (DG) penetration on-grid parameters.<
