Abstract:

Traumas are events that can be seen as a turning point in people’s lives and can lead to positive and negative effects on people. The research was aimed at providing information on the positive changes that occur in the literary framework, focusing on the transformative role of trauma in people’s lives. This is the first issue that may occur after the trauma. Positive changes between the situations that may occur after trauma are expressed in the form of post-trauma growth. In the study, the concept of post-trauma growth was mainly addressed in a conceptual framework in accordance with the views of Tedeschi and Calhoun. In this context, from the post-traumatic growth models to the functional-imaging model; with the pre-traumatic personal characteristics, traumatic and post-traumatic processes have been revealed. Finally, the positive changes that occur in the framework of post-trauma growth (the dimensions of post-trauma growth) have been discussed in titles and the research has revealed the transformative effects of trauma in the positive direction. Conceptual research has shown that traumatic events can lead to changes in the perspective of individuals both to themselves and to others, increase the confidence of individuals in themselves, and develop the sense of intimity in their interpersonal relations with a more mercyful and comprehensive approach. It is also revealed that as a result of the difficulties, people enter the process of maturity, while developing their beliefs, they understand the value of life more.
