Abstract:

Bu araştırmada ortaokul matematik öğretmenlerinin öğretmenlik mesleği genel yeterlikleri kapsamında yer alan mesleki beceri alanında güvenli, sağlıklı, estetik ve demokratik öğrenme ortamı oluşturabilme yeterliklerine ilişkin görüşlerini almak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu uygun örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenmiş olan 10 ortaokul matematik öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analizlere dayalı olarak matematik öğretmenlerinin güvenli, sağlıklı, estetik ve demokratik öğrenme ortamı kavramlarına ilişkin betimlemelerinin sınırlı kaldığı, öğrenme ortamlarını düzenlemeye ilişkin kendilerini çoğunlukla yeterli gördükleri ancak yeterlik algılarının kendi sınırlı kavram tanımları doğrultusunda oluştuğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract:

This study aims to obtain the views of high school math teachers on their ability to create a safe, healthy, aesthetic and democratic learning environment in the field of professional skills within the framework of the teaching profession's general qualifications. The research has been used for the study. The study group consists of 10 high school mathematics teachers who are determined by the appropriate sampling method. The data of the study was collected in a semi-configured interview form. The data obtained was analyzed through the content analysis method. Based on the analyses made, the results have been found that math teachers have limited imagery on the concepts of safe, healthy, aesthetic and democratic learning environments, that they often consider themselves sufficient to organize learning environments but that the perceptions of competence are formed according to their own limited conceptual definitions.
