Üreme sağlığı kadın ve erkeği her ikisini birlikte kapsar. Ancak gebelik ve doğum komplikasyonlarını kadınların yaşaması, cinsel yolla bulaşan enfeksiyonlarda kadınlarda daha fazla sekel kalması, yine üreme sağlığı problemlerinden biri olan infertilite, çiftin her ikisinin sorumluluğun da olsa bile fiziksel, sosyal ve psikolojik baskının kadın üzerinde daha fazla olması, toplumsal cinsiyet eşitsizliğine bağlı kadınların daha az sağlıklı, daha düşük statülü, daha düşük eğitim düzeyine sahip olması ve sağlık hizmetlerine daha zor ulaşmaları nedeniyle Dünya’da ve ülkemizde üreme sağlığı sorunlarını kadınlar daha çok yaşamaktadır. Bu sorunların çoğu da kadınlarda üreme çağında görülmektedir. Bu derlemede Dünya’da ve Türkiye’de kadınlarda görülen cinsel sağlık ve üreme sağlığı sorunlarının güncel verileri ele alınmıştır.
Reproductive health encompasses both men and women. However, women experience pregnancy and childbirth complications, more sequelae in women due to sexually transmitted infections, infertility, which is also one of the reproductive health problems, greater physical, social and psychological pressure on women, even if both are responsible for the couple, and women due to gender inequality. Women are more likely to experience reproductive health problems in the world and in our country because they are less healthy, have a lower status, have a lower education level, and have more difficulty in accessing health services. Most of these problems are seen in women of reproductive age. In this review, current data on sexual and reproductive health problems in women in the world and in Turkey are discussed.
