Abstract:

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors are gastrointestinal tumors that originate from interstitial Cajal cells. The area in which the digestive system is located is the stomach but very little is also in the organs outside the gastrointestinal system. The average age of diagnosis is usually 60 years of age. Their symptoms are often non-tumor characteristics such as abdominal pain, swelling, difficulty in digestion, meteorism. This presentation presents a huge gastrointestinal stromal tumor phenomenon of about 20 cm of the area originating from the stomach. Gastrointestinal stromal tumors that arise from the interstitial cell of Cajal in the gastrointestinal tract are the most common mesenchymal tumors. These tumors are usually localized in the stomach in the gastrointestinal system, although it is rarely to be encountered in other organs other than the gastrointestinal tract. It's usually seen in the 4th decade, at an average age of 60 years. The symptoms are usually abdominal pain, bloating, dysphagia, meteorism that are not specific to the tumor.
