The Ottoman Empire, which was on the stage of history at the beginning of the 14th century, expanded its borders to the West and settled in Rumelia and made it an important part of the country. In the middle of the 17th century, the Ottoman Empire, which entered into a recession for various reasons, entered into a process of decline and collapse. One of the most important reasons of the collapse of the Ottoman Empire is the nationalism ’politics that the French Revolution has spread to the world. The European imperialist countries have supported the Balkan nations, which were revolted by the influence of nationalism, and ensured the success of the revolts they initiated. In this study, “The Effects of Nationalism on the Non-Muslim Factors in the Balkans (1789 - 1875)” on which initiated and accelerated the disintegration and collapse of the Ottoman Empire was dealt with and interpreted in accordance with the principles of history methodology.
