Günümüzde tüm dünyaya egemen olan liberal ekonomi anlayışı ve buna bağlı olarak gelişen küreselleşme eğilimi, bir yandan ülkeleri daha zengin hale getirirken diğer yandan gelir dağılımında dengesizlikleri arttırmaktadır. Küreselleşmenin getirdiği iktisadi büyüme, her ülkede aynı düzeyde olmamakta ve ülkeler arasındaki gelir farkı giderek açılmaktadır. Uluslararası ölçekte yaşanan bozulma, ayrıca her ülke bazında ulusal ölçekte de yaşanmakta ve iktisadi açıdan büyüyen bir ülkede, artan refah düzeyi ülkenin her yanına adaletli bir şekilde yansımamaktadır. Coğrafi nedenler, pazar koşulları, tarihsel faktörler, iktisadi etmenler gibi birçok nedeni olan gelir dağılımı dengesizliğinin azaltılması, artık uluslararası bir sorun haline gelmiştir. Bölgeler arası gelir dağılımı dengesizliği, ekonomik bir sorun olmanın ötesinde sosyal bir mesele haline de gelmekte ve yoksulluğu besleyen bir yapıya bürünmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de iller arasındaki gelir dağılımının yapısını ortaya çıkarmak ve bu konuda yapılacak olan çalışmalara ışık tutmaktır. Çalışmada yöntem olarak sorgulayıcı veri çözümlemesi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışma, bu yönüyle daha önceki ekonometrik ve doğrulayıcı istatistik yöntemlerinin kullanıldığı çalışmalardan ayrılmaktadır. 2004-2019 yıllarının analize tabi tutulduğu çalışmada iller arası gelir dağılımının gerek ülke genelinde gerekse orta gelir düzeyine sahip iller arasında bozulduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca dağılımın tepe sayısının yıllar içinde artış gösterdiği, bazı illerin kendi aralarında kümelendiği görülmüştür. Birbirini doğrulayan yöntemlerle iller arası gelir dağılımının çarpıklığının, dışadüşen illerin yıllar içindeki seyrinin ortaya çıkarılması çalışmanın diğer çıktılarını oluşturmuştur.
Today, the liberal understanding of economy that dominates the whole world and the trend of globalization that develops accordingly, on the one hand make countries richer, on the other hand, increase the imbalances in income distribution. The economic growth brought about by globalization is not at the same level in every country and the income gap between countries is getting wider. The deterioration experienced on an international scale is also experienced on a national scale on the basis of each country, and in a country that is growing economically, the increasing level of welfare does not reflect fairly all over the country. Reducing income distribution imbalance, which has many reasons such as geographical reasons, market conditions, historical factors, and economic factors, has now become an international problem. Imbalance of income distribution between regions becomes a social issue beyond being an economic problem and takes on a structure that feeds poverty. The aim of this study is to reveal the structure of income distribution between provinces in Turkey and to shed light on the studies to be done on this subject. Inquiry data analysis techniques were used as a method in the study. In this respect, the study differs from previous studies in which econometric and confirmatory statistical methods were used. In the study in which the years 2004-2019 were analyzed, it was determined that the income distribution between the provinces deteriorated both throughout the country and among the provinces with the middle income level. In addition, it was observed that the number of peaks of the distribution increased over the years, and some provinces were clustered among themselves. Revealing the skewness of the income distribution between the provinces and the course of the outlying provinces over the years with the methods that confirm each other are the other outputs of the study.
