Abstract:

Teachers implement programs designed within the classroom. Teachers' opinions on the field and/or the field of teaching may be determining in the form of the application of the program. Therefore, the opinions of the teachers can give important clues to the course process. The aim of this study is to explore the opinions of the teachers of computer technology and software lessons on coding training. This work has been used for work. The participants of the study are composed of twenty-two teachers from a province in the Western Black Sea Region. Qualitative data from participants were collected through the semi-configured interview form created by the researchers. As a result of the discussions, it was understood that teachers have various deficiencies in terms of technological, pedagogical and field knowledge towards coding education. Teachers are seen to be more dominant in block-based coding environments, but they are not sufficiently dominant in other environments. There are several recommendations for teachers and teachers to address the deficiencies of their candidates.
