Abstract:

Population calculations are an ancient practice as the history of humanity. Identifying the number of people living in a geography has always provided useful information for administrators. With the emergence of the modern concept of state, the mission charged with the population count has begun to differentiate, and by moving from the information obtained, the states have developed political and economic policies. In Turkey, the population counting that began to be applied for similar purposes, in the period of the Republic, was very different and regular. The number made in 1935 is the second number of people in the Republic of Turkey. This counting would give the impression to the external world that Turkey has a young and rich population, as well as to determine the human potential to support economic development with the information to be obtained.
