Bu çalışmada İstanbul Fatih ilçesi merkezli faaliyet gösteren ve kadın konusunda zahirde katı-gelenekçi tutum sahibi bir dinî grup imajı veren İsmailağa Cemaati’nin kadın mensuplarının kadın algısı ve toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine yaklaşımı ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, kadını sadece geleneksel toplumsal cinsiyet rolleriyle tanımlıyor görünen İsmailağa Cemaati’ndeki kadınların “kadın” ve “toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri”yle ilgili görüşlerini ve bu düşüncelerinin günlük yaşamdaki yansımalarını ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat, katılımcı gözlem, cemaate ait yazılı kaynakların ve görsel-işitsel medya-daki materyallerin incelenmesi olmak üzere çoklu veri toplama araçlarına başvurulmuştur. Yirmi kadınla yüz yüze görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Cemaatin dinî bilgi kaynaklarında ve hocalarının söylem-lerinde yer alan “erkeğin bir adım gerisinde duran”, “ev merkezli” ve sadece geleneksel toplumsal cinsiyet rolleriyle yetinen kadın algısının katılımcılar tarafından söylem olarak benimsendiği, ancak yaşam pratiklerinin bu kabulden farklı şekillendiği ortaya çıkmıştır.
In this study, the Istanbul Fatih district focused on the activity and the image of a religious group with a strict-traditional attitude to women in the Islamic Republic of Islamic Republic of Islamic Republic of Islamic Republic of Islamic Republic of Islamic Republic of Islamic Republic of Islamic Republic of Islamic Republic of Islamic Republic. The aim of the study is to reveal the opinions of women in the Islamic Society, which appears to define women only with traditional social gender roles, on "women" and "social gender roles" and their reflections in everyday life. The research method was used in the study. The study applied to multiple data collection tools, including semi-configured interviews, participating observations, the study of the written resources of the community and the materials in visual and hearing media. There were twenty faces to faces with women. It has been revealed that the female perception of the community’s religious information sources and the teachers’ speeches “stay a step behind the man”, “home-centered” and only satisfied with the traditional social gender roles has been accepted as speeches by the participants, but the practices of life are shaped differently from this acceptance.
In this study, the perception of female members of the Ismailaga Community, which is based in Istanbul's Fatih district and apparently gives the image of a religious group with a strict-traditionalist attitude to women, towards the gender roles, was discussed. The aim of the study is to reveal the opinions of female members of the Ismailaga Community about “woman” and “gender roles” and their reflections of those thoughts in daily life. The qualitative research method was used in the study. In the study, multiple data collection tools were used, including semi-structured interviews, participant observation, the examination of the written sources belonging to the community, and the materials in the audio-visual media. Face-to-face interviews were conducted with twenty women. It was revealed that the perception of a woman “standing one step behind the man”, “home-centered” and contenting only with traditional gender roles, in religious information sources of the community and the discourses of their teachers was adopted a discourse by the participants, but their life practices were shaped differently from this acceptance.
