Abstract:

In the 21st century, the concept of development has become almost the common problem of the whole world. The concept of development, which is frequently mentioned today, is not a concept that emerged in the 21st century, but has been a social problem since the existence of individuals. States have produced various policies to solve the development problem. Especially after the devastating effect of the Second World War, the importance of non-governmental organizations in the development of states is too high to ignore. In this study, the role of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in regional development has been tried to be revealed. As a result of the questionnaire applied in the study; It has been stated that the promotion and advertisement policies of the non-governmental organizations in Hakkari province are not used correctly and effectively for the development of Hakkari province, therefore the city has an image problem, some of them have evolved into an understanding that does not prioritize the interests of the public and ignores the basic problems of the province of Hakkari. In order to realize the development in Hakkari province, all the non-governmental movements in Hakkari act together and the non-governmental organizations expand their field of activity, create socio-economic projects that will increase the welfare level of the people, and the results that they expect more support from the strong institutions of the state are revealed.
