Abstract:

With the lightening of the soccer pitch, which is not a new implementation, new improvements are needed thanks to new technology. Especially, while the concept of internet of things is gaining more and more place in our lives day by day, it is inevitable to make the lighting equipment more technologic status in this context. In cases where the lighting level of the soccer pitch needs to be changed, control signals can be transmitted as cabled or wirelessly. However, using signal cable has some disadvantages for the control of led driver that is used on the lighting projectors of soccer pitch. In case of controlling led drivers used for lighting soccer pitch with signal cables, the importance of carrying safe and low-cost wireless signal comes along clearly if considered the cost of the cable, labor and the environment affected by the electrical noise. In this study, LoRa modulation based control cards have been developed and used for a soccer pitch’s lighting system in Diyarbakır. In this way, a lower cost and safe wireless system has been installed compared to systems in which control signals are carried by cable.
