Abstract:

Mustafa Kutlu has since the 1980s been an important historian who has developed a unique language and style in the Turkish narrative. In the story book This Is So, which stands out with the narrative techniques among its other works, the social change that is experienced uses modern literary techniques together with the traditional narrative techniques while processing the conflict that this change opens in the individual in a symbolic language. The messages he wants to give are transmitted around the lunapark image, which forms the main axis of the book and represents the world as a whole, and in the stories religious/tasavvufi texts are equally benefited by the tradition of telling the story as well as modern techniques. This article discussed the most prominent use of laymotive technique among the framework history that gives the structure of the work and the techniques used in the work.

Kutlu uses the traditional storytelling techniques and modern literary techniques together, while he tells about the social change and conflict experienced by the individuals in a symbolic language in his story book titled Bu Böyledir, which stands out with its narrative techniques. Kutlu, who conveys the messages he wants to give around the image of the amusement park, which forms the main axis of the book and represents the world as a whole, makes use of modern techniques in addition to the storytelling traditions of religious/sufistic texts. In this article the uses of the laytmotif technique, which is the most prominent among other narration techniques used in the work and the frame storytelling which gives its structure to the work are discussed.
