Araştırmada, müzik öğretmeni adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının tespit edilmesi ve bu tutumların üniversite, sınıf, lise türü ve cinsiyet değişkenleri açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma tarama modelinde desenlenmiş, ilgili veriler kaynak taraması yapılarak ve örneklem grubuna "Öğretmenlik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği" uygulanarak elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda müzik öğretmeni adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının genel olarak olumlu olduğu ancak, öğretmenlik mesleğinde başarı için gerekli olan çalışmalara ve bu mesleğin çalışma şartları ile günümüzdeki toplumsal statüsüne yönelik tutumlarında olumsuzluklar bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Müzik öğretmeni adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının mezun olunan lise türüne ve cinsiyete göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.
In this study, determining attitudes of music teacher candidates towards the profession of teaching and examination of determined attitudes in terms of variables such as university, teaching class, graduated high school type, and gender are aimed. The research is designed in the scanning model and concerned data are obtained by literature search and by applying "Scale of Attitude towards the Profession of Teaching" on the sample group. Based on the obtained findings it is found out that, in general, attitudes of music teacher candidates towards the profession of teaching is positive; however, there are negativities in attitudes towards the studies necessary for success in the profession of teaching, working conditions of this profession, and its social status. It is concluded that attitudes of music teacher candidates towards the profession of teaching differ significantly based on graduated high-school type and gender.
