Abstract:

Improving the scale of Teachers' Program Reading: Validity and Trust Study
2020
Author:
Abstract:

The objective of this study is to reveal the "Teacher's Program Reading Scale" that teachers can determine the level of program literature; to perform validity and reliability studies. The appropriate sampling method has been used to determine the work group of the research in order to improve the Program Reading Scale of Teachers. For this purpose, in the 2018-2019 educational year, teachers who work in the provinces of Tokat and Kahramanmaraş have formed a working group. In the study, data collected from two separate groups were analyzed. It has formed 320 teachers for AFA and 541 teachers for DFA working groups. The AFA result was achieved that the scale consisted of three factors and 29 items. This structure has been verified through DFA. When the conformity index of the emerging model is studied, it is χ2/df=2.40 <4; CFI=0.93; TLI=0.92; RMSEA=0.05; SRMR=0.04 '. The Cronbach Alpha reliability ratings are calculated as .94 for the first factor, .93 for the second factor (information) and .92 for the third factor (status). The Cronbach’s Alpha reliability ratio was .96 when all the factors included in the scale were combined. The findings obtained from validity and reliability studies for the 29 article and 3 factors OPOO to show the level of program readiness teachers show that a measurement tool that can be achieved to valid and reliable results has been developed. With this measurement tool developed, teachers can study the program literature, comparisons can be made in terms of different variables.

Development Of Teachers’ Curriculum Literacy Scale: Validity and Reliability Study
2020
Author:
Abstract:

The aim of this study is to develop the “Teachers' Curriculum Literacy Scale (TCLS), which will be able to determine teachers' curriculum literacy levels, to make its validity and reliability studies. Convenience sampling method was used to determine the study group of the research in order to develop the Teachers' Curriculum Literacy Scale (TCLS). For this purpose, the teachers study in Tokat and Kahramanmaraş provinces in 2018- 2019 academic year constitute the study group. 320 teachers for EFA and 541 teachers for CFA constitute the study groups and data collected from two different groups were analyzed. The results of EFA showed that the scale has three factors and 29 items. This construct was verified by CFA. Fit index values of the model was χ²/df= 2.40 <4; CFI=0.93; TLI=0.92; RMSEA=0.05; SRMR=0.04. The Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficients were calculated as ,94 for the first factor (skill); .93 for the second factor (knowledge) and .92 for the third factor (attitude). When all the factors included in the scale were evaluated together, the Cronbach’s Alpha reliability coefficient was calculated as .96. The findings obtained from the validity and reliability studies made for 29-item and 3-factor TCLS to reveal teachers' curriculum literacy levels indicate that a measurement tool has been developed to obtain valid and reliable results. With this developed measurement tool, teachers' curriculum literacy can be examined, and comparisons can be made in terms of different variables.
