The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of dexmedetomidine given from the epidural catather in patients with total abdominal hysterectomy on postoperative analgesic use. ASA I-II, between 30-60 years of age, the duration of the operation is not more than 150 minutes of general anesthesia. The data of patients infected with preoperative epidural catathers were evaluated to provide study criteria and postoperative analgesia. Patients examined the records were divided into two groups. Bupivakain (Group B) 5 ml 0.5 % bupivakain + 11 ml 0.9 % sodium chloride) or bupivakain + dexmedetomidine (Group D) 5 ml 0.5 % bupivakain + 1 ml dexmedetomidine (0.5 μg / kg) + 10 ml 0. 9 sodium chloride was given as bolus by epidural catheter during the surgery of the wound to provide post-operative analgesy. Patients in both groups were administered morphine + bupivakain with PCA device for postoperative 24 hours of epidural analgesy. From anesthesia tracking files; demographic and hemodynamic data, algology tracking forms; analgesic demand numbers, analgesic consumptions, VAS scores, Ramsay sedation values and side effects were recorded. There were no differences between the groups in terms of demographic data, hemodynamic parameters, VAS scores, Ramsay sedation values and side effects. The postoperative 30. From the minute to the minute, Group D found fewer demand for analgesics than Group B, fewer bupivacine and morphine consumption and statically meaningful. (p<0.05) RESULTS We believe that 0.5 μg/kg of dexmedetomidine added to epidural bupivacine for postoperative analgesics; from the postoperative 30 minute, the number of analgesic requests, along with the number of morphine and bupivacine consumption, is reduced.
