Ulusal Çekirdek Eğitim Programı (UÇEP-2002 ve UÇEP‐2014), ülkemizdeki tüm tıp fakültelerinin kendi eğitim programlarına eğilmelerini ve ulusal anlamda ilk kez tıp eğitiminin belirli standartlara göre yapılmasını sağlaması bakımından ülkemiz tıp eğitimine çok büyük katkılar sağlamıştır, UÇEP-2020 yaklaşık bir yıllık emek sonucunda, komisyonun yoğun çalışması ve tıp fakültesi dekanlıklarının geri bildirimlerinin katkısıyla son şeklini almıştır. Önceki UÇEP’lerde olduğu gibi, tıp eğitimi programına UÇEP’in tamamının yansıması (%100), bunun üzerine her fakültenin kendi vizyon, misyon ve bulundukları yerlerin hastalık yüküne göre eğitim programına eklemeler yapması hedeflenmiştir..Bu amaçla fakültelerin eğitim programının yaklaşık %70-75’ini UÇEP’in oluşturması (UÇEP’te yer alan tüm konular programda yer alacak şekilde) kalan %25- 30’luk kısımın ise fakültenin kendi hedeflerine göre belirleyeceği içerikle oluşturması beklenmektedir. Mezuniyet öncesi eğitim programlarını yeterliklere dayalı olarak geliştirmelerinde, tıp fakültelerine katkı sağlaması ve kılavuzluk etmesi düşüncesiyle Ulusal Yetkinlik ve Yeterlikler Belgesi (UYYB) de 2020-UÇEP'inde yerini almıştır. Ayrıca hastalıklar yalnızca biyomedikal/patofizyolojik süreçler olarak görülmemekte, davranışsal, sosyal ve kültürel olgular olarak da ele alındığı için 2020-UÇEP'ine Davranışsal, Sosyal ve Beşerî Bilimler konuları dahil edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada amaç fakültelerin müfredatlarında UÇEP’i temel alması ile aynı temel bilgi ve becerilere sahip birinci basamak düzeyinde hekimler yetiştirmektir.
National Core Curriculums (NCCs) for Undergraduate Medical Education (NCC-2002 and NCC-2014) have made great contributions to the medical education of Turkey and ensured that medical education is carried out according to certain standards and all medical faculties focus on their education programs. The NCC-2020 was taken its final form as a result of approximately one year of labour, with the commitment of the commission and the feedback of the deans of the medical faculty. As in previous NCCs, it is aimed to reflect the entire NCC (100%) to the program of medical education. However, it has been considered appropriate for all medical faculties to make additions to their education programs according to their vision and mission, as well as the burden of diseases that they can carry depending on their location. Therefore, approximately 70-75% of the education program of faculties is expected to constitute the NCC (all the subjects in the NCC will be included in the program) and the remaining 25-30% will be formed with the content determined by the faculty’s own goals. The National Competency Framework (NCF) has also taken its place in the NCC-2020 to guide medical schools to develop the programs of undergraduate education based on qualifications. Also, behavioral, social sciences and humanities are included in the NCC-2020 as diseases are not just biomedical/pathophysiological processes. This study aims to train physicians with similar knowledge and skills based on NCC in the curricula of medical faculties.
