Abstract:

This study was conducted to determine the records that are important for forensic informatics in mobile devices and memory cards with android operating system used with UAV and UAV. As a result of the literature review, it was seen that a rotary wing UAV was used. Unlike the literature, the Pixhawk 2 Auto Pilot flight control card installed in the fixed wing UAV and the mobile device with the android operating system used with the UAV were also examined. For the examinations, various applications have been made in line with the requests that are considered to be of importance in terms of forensic informatics and that are generally stated in the requests for examination. And in addition; the licensed programs and the programs that were provided free of charge were searched through the internet and analyzed. As a result of the analysis made; From mobile device; The date of the DJI GO 4 application installed on the mobile device to control the interface of the UAV, the e-mail addresses used, the wi- Fi address of the mobile phone, the serial number of the UAV, the serial numbers of the batteries used with the UAV, the location (coordinate) information and flight route (Route) records has been determined. From the UAV; The serial number of the UAV, the serial numbers of the batteries used with the UAV, coordinate information, flight route (Route) records and the date / time information of these records were determined. From the memory card; The existing and deleted photographs and videos (images) taken during the flight, the date / time information of the images, LOG records with the ".SRT" extension that contain the coordinate and date / time information of the video files were detected. From the flight control card; route information, coordinate information of these routes and records of tasks assigned to coordinates were determined. As a result of our study, it has been evaluated that the data reached by us can contribute to investigation authorities.
