Araştırmanın amacı 8. Sınıf öğrencilerinin kareköklü ifadeler konusundaki matematiksel dili anlayabilme ve kullanabilme düzeyleri ile matematiksel dil kullanımına ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemek ve bunları bazı değişkenler açısından incelemektir. Ayrıca kareköklü ifadeler konusundaki matematiksel dili anlayabilme ve kullanabilme düzeyleri ile matematiksel dil kullanıma yönelik görüşleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini AĞRI ilinin Diyadin ilçesindeki 2 farklı devlet okulundan uygun örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenmiş toplam 114 8. Sınıf öğrencisi ile çalışma yürütülmüştür. Nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden Tarama Modeli kullanılmıştır. Başarı ve tutumlar arasındaki ilişki incelendiğinden ilişkisel taramaya da örnek gösterilebilir. Veri toplama araçları olarak “Kareköklü İfadeler Başarı Testi “ ve “ Matematiksel Dil Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Veriler SPSS 23.0 paket programı kullanılarak frenkans dağılımı ,betimsel istatistikler, korelasyon ve bağımsız örneklemler t testi ile test edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda öğrencilerin kareköklü ifadeler konusunda eksikliklerinin olduğu ve bunların geliştirilmesi gerektiği, öğrencilerin matematiksel dili anlayabilme ve kullanabilme düzeyi ile matematik not ortalamaları arasında orta düzeyde pozitif bir ilişki olduğu ve cinsiyete göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği ayrıca matematiksel dile yönelik tutumları arasında düşük ve anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerin matematiksel dil kullanımına yönelik görüşlerinin genelde olumlu olduğu , matematik başarıları ile görüşleri arasında ilişki olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca elde edilen verilere göre öğrencilerin matematiksel dil kullanımına yönelik görüşlerinin cinsiyete göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır
The purpose of the study 8. It is to determine the students’ views on the level of understanding and ability to use the mathematical language and the use of the mathematical language and to study them in terms of certain variables. The sample of the study was determined by the appropriate sample method of 2 different state schools in the district of Diyadin in the province of AĞRI, a total of 114 8. Students have been working with the class. Nicel research methods have been used. As the relationship between success and attitudes is studied, relational scan can also be shown as an example. Data collection tools have been used as "Success Test" and "Mathematical Language Scale". The data is tested using the SPSS 23.0 package program for frequency distribution, statistical statistics, correlation and independent samples with the t test. The study concluded that there were deficiencies in and need to be developed, that there was a medium-level positive relationship between the level of understanding and use of the mathematical language and the mathematical ratio and that there was no meaningful differences according to gender and that there was no low and meaningful relationship between their attitudes towards the mathematical language. It has been found that students’ opinions about the use of mathematical language are generally positive, there is no connection between their mathematical achievements and their opinions. According to the data obtained, the findings of students about the use of mathematical language have not shown significant differences by gender.
