Bu çalışma, lise öğrencilerinin, mekanik konularının temelini oluşturan kuvvet konusu ile ilgili kavram yanılgılarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Ankara İl Merkezi\'ndeki 4 ilçede bulunan 8 genel lisede 2002-2003 eğitim öğretim döneminde öğrenim gören 456 lise 2. sınıf fen şubesi öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada kullanılan testin geliştirilmesi ve uygulama sonuçlarının alınmasında SPSS istatistik programı kullanıldı. Öğrencilerde tespit edilen bazı kavram yanılgıları araştırma sonucunda maddeler halinde sunularak, kavram yanılgılarının giderilmesine yönelik önerilerde bulunuldu.
This study was done with the aim of identifying high school students' conceptual errors related to the force subject that forms the foundation of mechanical subjects. The sample of the study is made by 456 high school 2nd-class scientist students who studied in the 2002-2003 educational teaching period in 8 general high schools located in 4 districts of the Ankara Provincial Center. The SPSS statistical program was used to develop the test used in the study and to obtain the results of the application. Some of the conceptual errors identified in the students were presented in materials as a result of the research, in recommendations for the removal of conceptual errors.
This study was carried out to determine the misconceptions of secondary school students about “force” which is fundamental of mechanics. The sample group constitutes 456 grade-10 science students who attend eight different secondary schools in four districts of central Ankara in 2002-2003 school years. Data formed by SPSS were used both in the development of the test used in this study and collecting the results. Some misconceptions which existed among students were listed at the end of the research and some suggestions were done to relieve these misconceptions.
