Özet:

Baha al-Din Muhammad Sultan Valad, the eldest son of Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi, with his organizational character systematized the Mawlavi order, which was attributed to his father’s name, after Mawlana. Sultan Valad, who lost his mother at a young age, was influenced by his father at every stage of his life. Mawlana, who was personally interested in the education of his son, recommended Sultan Valad to be subordinate to his caliph and followers. Upon accepting his father’s request, Sultan Valad joined his father’s caliphs, Sheikh Salah al-Din Zarkub and Chalabi Husam al-Din, especially Mawlana’s friend Shams-i Tabrizi. After Mawlana’s death, Sultan Valad enabled Chalabi Husam al-Din to continue his caliphate, and then he became the head of the sect and sat on the post of sheikh. After he became the leader of the Mawlavi order, Sultan Valad arranged the affairs of the sect in a certain order and enabled the sect to reach large masses. Sultan Valad, who followed his father in the works of the sect, also followed the path of Mawlana in writing works. Sultan Valad, who has three mathnawi poems called Ibtidanama, Rababnama and Intihanama which are the continuation of each other, and a prose Maarif, also arranged a diwan called Diwan-i Sultan Valad. Sultan Valad, who composed in his divan in the form of ghazal, eulogy, stanza, musammat, terci-i bend, terkib-i bend and rubai, wrote poems with religious and mystical content. In addition to this, there are also poems in this work of Sultan Valad that he wrote as eulogy and elegy. In these poems, he composed poems to sultans and statesmen, ahi orders, Mawlana and his caliphs, some Anatolian cities and notables of the Turkish Seljuk period. In these poems, he eulogized these high-ranking people, expressed his sadness over the death of some of them, made requests from the statesmen on behalf of the sect and invited some of them to Konya or expressed his happiness at the presence of some of them in Konya. In this study, the poems that Sultan Valad said to Sheikh Salah al-Din Zarkub, who was the first caliph of the Mawlavi order and also his father-in-law, and between whom there was a sheikh-follower relationship, will be evaluated. Sultan Valad praised Sheikh Salah al-Din in these poems and talked about his affection for him. In an elegy that he wrote after the death of the Sheikh, Sultan Valad expressed the sadness he felt at the departure of Sheikh Salah al-Din from this world.
