Anahtar kelimeler: HBsAg, anti-HCV, anti-HIV, RPR, seroprevalans, donör Abstract Evaluation of serologic scanning tests results in blood donors in Süleyman Demirel University, Hospital of Medical Faculty, Blood Center between 2000-2007. Objective: The aim of this retrospective study was to determine the seroprevalence of HbsAg, anti-HBC, anti-HIV and VDRL in our region by evaluating the serologic scanning test results in blood donors, and to compare them with these from different regions of Turkey. Methods: HBsAg, anti-HCV and anti-HIV were analyzed by ELİSA (Abbott, AXSYM) and VDRL were carried out. Results: We found that from 51361 serum samples positivity was 564 (1.1%) for HbsAg, 226(0.44%) for anti-HCV, 44 (0.09%) for anti-HIV, 43 (%0.08) for VDRL. Conclusion: Our findings have indicated that seropositivity rates of HBsAg and anti-HCV are under limit of Turkey's ratio. Key words: HBsAg, anti-HCV, anti-HIV, RPR, seroprevalence, blood donor
Purpose: In this study, we aimed at detecting HBsAg, anti-HCV, anti-HIV and VDRL seroprevalence in our region and comparing it with other regions of our country. Method: 51361 blood donor was studied with HBsAg, anti-HCV and anti-HIV ELISA (Abbott, AXSYM) and VDRL method. Results: In total 51361 serum samples studied 564 (% 1.1) HBsAg, 226 (% 0.44) anti-HCV, 44 (% 0.09) anti-HIV and 43 (% 0.08) VDRL positive were identified. As a result, our findings show that the HBsAg and anti-HCV seropositivity rates in the Isparta region are at the lower boundary of the Turkish values.
