Abstract:

Ebû Mûsâ el-Medînî, siyasi karışıklıkların yaşandığı bir dönemde İsfahan’da doğmuştur. Vefat ettiği tarihe kadar da şehirde bu kargaşa ortamı devam etmiş ve merkezi otorite sağlanamamıştır. Hal böyle iken o, kendisini hadîs ve Arapça’da oldukça iyi şekilde yetiştirebilmiştir. Bu, el-Mecmûʻu'l-Muğîs isimli eserinden anlaşılmaktadır. Çok erken yaşlarda babasının teşvikiyle ilim talep etmeye başlayan Ebû Mûsâ el-Medînî, Ebû Zekeriyâ İbn Mende (ö. 512/1119), Muhammed b. Tâhir el-Makdisî (ö. 507/1113), Ebû Mansûr Muhammed b. ʻAbdullah b. Mendûye (ö. 507/1113), Ebu’l-Kāsım İsmâîl b. Muhammed et-Teymî (ö. 535/1141) gibi önemli âlimlerin rehberliğinde yetişmiştir. Eğitimini tamamladıktan sonra el-Ensâb sahibi Ebû Saʻd Semʻânî (ö. 562/1166), Ebû Bekr el-Hâzimî (ö. 584/1188), Ebû Muhammed ʻAbdülgınâ b. ʻAbdülvâhid el-Cemmâîlî (ö. 600/1203), Ebû Muhammed ʻAbdülkâdir b. ʻAbdullah er-Ruhâvî (ö. 612/1215) gibi önemli şahsiyetlerin yetişmesine katkı sağlamıştır. Hadîs ilminde otorite kabul edilen Ebû Mûsâ el-Medînî, Kur’ân ve hadîslerin metinlerinde karşılaşılan kelimelerin vuzuha kavuşması amacıyla el-Mecmû ʻu'l-muğîs isimli önemli eserini yazmıştır. Bu çalışmada onun hadîslerle ilgili açıklamaları konu edinilmektedir. Garîbu’l-hadîs alanında kendisinden sonra başka bir eser yazıldığı bilinmeyen İbnü’l-Esîr’in en-Nihâye isimli eserinin temel kaynaklarından birisi olması, onun kitabının önemini göstermesi bakımından yeterlidir. Eserin telifinde onun pek çok âlimden istifade etmesi ve buradaki kelimeler hakkında derli toplu bilgi vermesi de kitabın diğer kayda değer bir özelliğidir.
