Bu çalışmada günümüzün önemli sorunlarından küresel iklim krizinin etkileri karşısında eğitimin rolü ve etkisi üzerinde durulacaktır. Küresel iklim krizi karşısında gerçekleştirilen sosyal, ekonomik, politik etkenlerin yanı sıra eğitimsel etkenlerin etkililiği üzerinde durulacaktır. İklim değişikliği karşısında toplumsal değişimin olumlu yönde sağlanmasında eğitimin bir araç olarak kullanılması önemli bir adım olacaktır. İklim değişikliğinin hafifletilmesini sağlamak, bu yönde sosyal bir değişim geliştirmek ve bu doğrultuda bir politikanın şekillendirilmesinde tepkisel bir çoğunluğa erişmek temel hedefler içerisinde yer almaktadır. Küresel bir problem olan iklim krizi karşısında ülkelerin duyarsızlığı ve bu konuda ciddi anlamda alınabilecek önlemler karşısında isteksiz tavır sergilemeleri sorunun her geçen gün daha da artmasının önünü açmaktadır. Kriz büyüyüp kötüleştikçe özellikle gelişmemiş ülke vatandaşlarını tehdit eden yeni problemler baş göstermektedir. İklim değişikliğine bağlı olarak gerçekleşen doğa olayları sonucunda topraklarını terk etmek zorunda kalan milyonlarca insan gittikleri yerlerde yeni olası sorunlara da maruz kalmaktadırlar. Bu durum elbette ki ev sahibi ülkeler için de geçerli olmaktadır. Son yıllarda yapılan bilimsel verilere bakıldığında iklim krizi karşısında politikacıların, krizin hafifletilmesi ve çözüm odaklı yasaların çıkarılmasında gerekli çabayı göstermedikleri gerçeğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bununla birlikte toplumun her alanını doğrudan etkileyen iklim krizi karşısında eğitim sistemine de büyük görevler düşmektedir. Eğitim sisteminin iklim krizi etrafında detaylı bir müfredat tasarlama ve bunu günlük yaşama entegre edilmesini sağlayıcı çalışmalar gerçekleştirmesi hayati önem taşımaktadır. İklim değişikliği karşısında daha duyarlı, bilinçli ve değişime uyum sağlayabilen güçlü bireylerin topluma hazırlanmasında eğitim uzun soluklu bir rol üstlenmiş olacaktır. Bu çalışma ile eğitimin iklim değişimi karşısındaki gerekliliğinin önemine ve faydasına değinilerek, bu yönde yapılmış örnek programlar ve önerilerle katkı sunmaya çalışılmıştır.
This study will focus on the role and impact of education in the face of the impacts of the global climate crisis from the major issues of today. The focus will be on the effectiveness of social, economic, and political factors carried out in the face of the global climate crisis as well as the educational factors. The use of education as a tool in providing social change in a positive direction in the face of climate change will be an important step. Ensure the relief of climate change, developing a social change in this direction and achieving a reactive majority in the forming of a policy in this direction is one of the main objectives. The unwilling attitude of the countries to face the climate crisis, which is a global problem, and the measures that can be taken seriously, prevents the problem from increasing and increasing every day. As the crisis grows and deteriorates, new problems are faced, especially the undeveloped citizens. Millions of people who have been forced to leave their land as a result of climate change are also exposed to new potential problems where they go. This is of course true for the host countries. According to recent scientific data, climate crisis shows the fact that politicians do not make the necessary efforts to relieve the crisis and adopt solutions-oriented laws. However, in the face of the climate crisis that directly affects all areas of society, the educational system also has great responsibilities. It is vital that the educational system has a detailed curriculum about the climate crisis and works that enable it to be integrated into the daily life. Education will have taken a long-death role in the preparation of strong individuals who are more sensitive, conscious and able to adapt to climate change. With this study emphasizing the importance and benefits of education in the face of climate change, we have been trying to contribute with the examples of programs and recommendations made in this direction.
In this study, the role and impact of education in the face of the effects of the global climate crisis, one of today's important problems, will be emphasized. In addition to the social, economic and political factors in the face of the global climate crisis, the effectiveness of educational factors will be emphasized. The use of education as a tool will be an important step in achieving positive social change in the face of climate change. Ensuring the mitigation of climate change, developing a social change in this direction and reaching a reactive majority in shaping a policy in this direction are among the main objectives. The insensitivity of countries to the climate crisis, which is a global problem, and their reluctance to take serious measures in this regard, paves the way for the problem to increase day by day. As the crisis grows and worsens, new problems arise, especially threatening the citizens of underdeveloped countries. Millions of people who have to leave their lands as a result of natural events due to climate change are also exposed to new potential problems in the places they go. Of course, this also applies to host countries. Looking at the scientific data made in recent years reveals the fact that politicians in the face of the climate crisis do not make the necessary efforts to alleviate the crisis and to enact solution-oriented laws. However, in the face of the climate crisis, which directly affects every aspect of society, the education system also has great responsibilities. It is vital that the education system carries out studies to design a detailed curriculum around the climate crisis and integrate it into daily life. Education will play a long-term role in the preparation of strong individuals who are more sensitive, conscious and able to adapt to climate change. With this study, the importance and benefit of education against climate change has been mentioned and it has been tried to contribute with sample programs and suggestions made in this direction
