Purpose: to determine the surgical results of the Transobturator tape procedure and to analyze the effectiveness of this process. Tools and Methods: In this prospective study, 47 women were included with the diagnosis of stress incontinence and transobturator tape surgery in the Gülhane Education and Research Hospital. Patient groups were compared in terms of perioperative results (duration of surgery, changes in hematocrit (HTC) levels, postoperative complications, changes in residual urine volume, duration of hospital stay). Results: Of 47 patients undergoing transobturator tape surgery, 46 (97.9%) of the mid-urethral slings were successful. A (2.1%) patient’s stress incontinence continued despite the operation. Two of the 47 patients (4.2%) were under 60 ml of preoperative urine volume and the others under 50 ml. In measurements in the sixth week after the operation, the remaining urine volume of all patients was found below 50 ml. There were statistically significant differences in pre- and postoperative residual urine volumes. There were no complications in our work. The result: Transobturator tape is an easy-to-apply surgical method with good results and low intra-/post-operative complications rates.
