Klasik Türk Edebiyatı, bir saray edebiyatı olarak görülmesinin ötesinde halkın örf, adet, gelenek, görenek ve inançlarını yansıtan edebiyatımızın bir parçasıdır. Divan şiiri her ne kadar şairin hayal dünyasını sanatkârane üslûpla yansıtsa da realist özellikleri içinde barındırmıştır. Hele ki konu tıp ilmi olunca bunu eserlerinde ustalıkla işlemek aslında bir başarıdır. Tıp bedene yönelik bir bilim dalı iken, edebiyat ise tam tersine ruha yönelik bir ilim dalıdır. Buna rağmen edebiyat ve tıp birbiriyle sürekli iç içe olmuştur. Hastalıkların ve tedavi yöntemlerinin ele alınış biçimleri, cerrahi müdahale, ilaçla tedavi, mûsikî ve manevi tedavilerin çeşitleri ve koruyucu hekimliğin yıllar önce yapıldığına dair yansımalar beyitlerde kendini göstermiştir. Bu çalışmada ise canlı bir tablo misali Ahmedî Divanı esas alınarak hasta kavramı ve göz hastalıkları ile ilgili kullanılan terimler divan kültüründe farklı mazmunlarla, edebi sanatlarla geçmiş olduğu tespit edilmiş, eski dönemde kullanılan terim-ler, tedavi yöntemleri ve modern yöntemdeki tedavi yöntemleri ile karşılaştırılmıştır.

In this study, a living picture is based on the Ahmedî Divana, the terms used in relation to the concept of patient and eye diseases are compared with the terms used in the ancient period, therapeutic methods and therapeutic methods in modern methods, which have been found to have passed through different mazmunes in the divan culture, literary arts.
