Abstract:

Astronomy and Earth Sciences are closely related to other disciplines. They also play an important role in the development of mathematics, physics and many other disciplines of science. Many developed and developing countries are included in their curriculum subjects related to the formation of the Earth, space, universe, stars and planets. Astronomy and geoscience are among the important subjects that are included in our country’s high school teaching programmes. The objective of this research in our country is to compare astronomy and geoscience subjects included in the classes 6, 7 and 8 of the high school, which have been applied from the Republic period to the present day in 1924, 1931, 1938, 1949, 1977, 1992, 2000, 2005, 2013 and 2018. In this context, a large source scan was made. The obtained data was presented through tables; the topics and achievements were tried to be discussed comparatively in the 2018 Science Course Curriculum axis, which is currently in the current position. This research has found that each new curriculum is developed on the basis of its predecessors and that in the curriculum that has been implemented in our country in the past years, astronomy and geosciences are significantly involved in the subjects of astronomy and geosciences.
