Abstract:

This study aims to conduct validity and reliability studies of the Scale of Knowledge and Beliefs about Developmental Dyslexia (Scale of Knowledge and Beliefs about Developmental Dyslexia). The participants of the study were between 28 and 59 years old, with 260 class teachers. In the study, participants were asked to fill the "Dyslexic Information and Faith Scale". To determine the validity of the measurement, the scope, structure, distinctive and location validity analyses were conducted; to determine the reliability, the internal consistency Cronbach Alfa ratio was calculated. According to the results of the DFA analysis, the scale has a three-factor structure and the model conformity index is at a good level (χ2/sd=2.80, RMSEA=.080, SRMR=.052, NFI=.90, NNFI=.93, CFI=.93, IFI=.93, GFI=.93, AGFI=. 90 is found. The reliability analysis found that the internal consistency ratio calculated for the general and lower scales of the scale varied between .78 and .87. The level of distinctivity of the measurements was found to be above .30, which is sufficient. The results of the analysis have found that it is a valid and reliable tool that can be used by researchers. Keywords: dyslexic knowledge and the scale of faith; validity; confidence.
