Mitoloji, insanoğlunun geçmişinin ritüelde düşünce ve tasvirlerle gerçekleştirdiği diyalektikleri olarak; yeryüzünde bulunan ve bütün toplumların düşünce hayatlarındaki ilk ve en temel kaynaklardır. Yaşamla dünyayı bir algılama sistemi içinde ele alan mitoloji bütün dünya görüşlerini kapsamaktadır. Mitoloji kelimesi, Yunanca, bir nevi masal, hikâye demek olan “Mythos” ile, söz anlamına gelen “Logos” kelimelerinden yapılmış olup, eski zamanlarda gelmiş ve yaşamış olan ulusların inandıkları tanrı, kahraman, peri ve devlerin hayat maceralarını içine alan “Mit” hikayelerdir. Mitolojiler bütün toplumlarda insanlar tarafından kutsal sayılan tanrı ve kahramanların efsaneleri bir şekilde sanat eserlerine yansıtılmıştır. Günümüzde çağdaş Türk resminde bu kahramanlar ve hikayeleri motif ve semboller ile, sanatçılarla yaşatılmaya devam edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada Türk kültürü içerisinde, önemli bir yeri olan sanatçımızdan Kayıhan Keskinok'un eserleri, mitolojik anlamda analiz edilerek yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden literatür taraması ile eser incelemesi kullanılmıştır.
The mythology, as the dialects of the past of mankind in the rituals with thoughts and images, is the first and most fundamental sources in the life of thought of all societies on earth. The mythology that deals with life and the world within a system of perception covers all the world views. The word mythology, in Greek, is made of the words "Logos" which means "Mythos" which means story, and the "Mit" stories that incorporate the life adventures of the gods, heroes, philosophers and giants believed to have come and lived in ancient times. The mythologies are somehow reflected in the works of art in the legends of the gods and heroes considered holy by humans in all communities. Today, in contemporary Turkish painting, these heroes and stories are continued to be lived with artists with motives and symbols. In this work, in the Turkish culture, the works of Kayıhan Keskinok from our artist, which has an important place, have been tried to be interpreted by analyzing in the mythological sense. It has also been used in literary scan research methods.
