Abstract:

Hemodialysis is a treatment method in which physical and psychological stress factors combine for patients. The intense anxiety and stress that the treatment brings is quite beneficial for alexithmic emotions. Alchemical individuals face difficulty in expressing their feelings and thoughts, with the incapacity to evaluate the physiological changes in themselves and their surroundings. Patients with hemodialysis experience continuous biochemical changes hemodynamically. Our purpose in the study was to investigate the relationship between the biochemical parameters we use in patients under continuous hemodialysis treatment and alexithmic emotions and stress factors. Method and Requirements: In 2019, 51 volunteers were taken to the study in the province of Bilecik who received treatment of hemodialysis with renal insufficiency in the last period. The study used patients' routine hemodialysis biochemical tracking data, hemodialysis stressor scale and Toronto alexitime scale. The statistical significance level (p<0.05) was determined between the routine followed hemodialysis parameters and scales. The researchers found that the stress levels of people involved were quite high. 58.8 percent of patients were alchymic. The average hemodial stressor rate of patients was 86.6, the Toronto alexity scale average was 62.76. The high scale of stress and alexithmic emotions in patients with hemodialysis has been observed. Hemodialysis stressor scale and Toronto alexity scale subgroups have established a meaningful relationship between dialytic entry creatin, URR (duration reduction rate), Kt/V, dry weight, albumin, dialytic output urine and calcium. RELATED AND RESULTATED: It is clear that the psychiatric evaluation should be routine in the follow-up of hemodialysis patients, and that the monthly psychiatric/psychiatric examination that has been removed by the latest regulatory change should be re-started. It is also important to raise the awareness of the health staff working in the dialytic unit in the issues of dealing with stress and stressful patient management.
