Abstract:

This study aims to identify the perceptions of body training and pre-service training that sports teachers receive. The 25 articles developed by Kozikoğlu and Senemoğlu (2018) consist of "Teacher perception scale on the adequacy of pre-service education" was used. The scale includes 2 sub-dimensions called "education planning and application" and "relations with students, colleagues, managers, guardians and society". The study, which was conducted in the screening model, constitutes a research group of 158 body training and sports teachers who work in the province of Istanbul and districts. Since the obtained data show normal distribution, the analysis of the data, along with visual statistics, has been preferred as the Independent Samples T-Test and the One Direction Variance Analysis (ANOVA). Although the perceptions of the teachers of body education regarding pre-service education are not sufficient, it has been found that gender, professional experience, graduation year variables do not show a statistically meaningful difference. Physical education teachers have a perception that the pre-service education they have received before starting their professional life is not sufficient, especially in the size of "learning planning and application". Physical education and sports teachers do not see the training they have received in the organization of the educational environment, the preparation of materials, the subject area and the knowledge of the teaching program, the implementation of teaching and learning activities, the class management and the measurement evaluation point is sufficient.
