Abstract:

The aim of this research is to determine the organizational climate perceptions of teachers in schools according to gender, age, civil status, educational status, vocational age and school stage variables. This research is in the screening model. The sample of the study consists of a total of 409 teachers working in the 15 official first and secondary schools in the Sincan district of Ankara in the 2017-2018 educational year. In this study; Hoy, Tarter and Kottkamp (1991) developed and translated into Turkish by Çevik (2010) used the scale of "organization climate recognition in primary schools". The measurement tool used in the study, with the legal permission certificate obtained from the Ankara Provincial Education Directorate and going to schools within the sample scope, 2017-2018 educational year was implemented in the months of May and June. Applications were carried out by the researcher, discussing the teachers who participated in the application in each school according to the sample list, with information on the survey form. The research has found that teachers’ perceptions about the organization climate situation in schools are often at a level. Teachers' perceptions of the organization climate status in schools have shown a significant difference depending on gender and civic status. In addition, it has shown that there is no meaningful difference between teachers' perceptions of the organization climate situation in schools according to age, education status, professional age and school stage. The reasons why male and single teachers have more negative perceptions about the organization climate situation in schools can be investigated.
