Bu araştırma pediatri hemşirelerinin alternatif/tamamlayıcı tedavi yöntemlerine (TAT) ilişkin bilgi düzeylerini belirlemek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı tipte olan araştırmamız 01.03.2018- 31.05.2018 tarihleri arasında araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 112 hemşire ile anket formu kullanılarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmamıza katılan hemşirelerin TAT ile ilgili olarak %69.6’sı hastalarının kullandığı yöntemleri bilmediğini, %35.7’si bilgiyi internetten edindiklerini, %93.8’i eğitim süreçlerinde yer almadığını, %64.3’ü mezuniyet öncesi ve sonrası eğitim verilmesi gerektiğini bildirmiştir. Hemşirelerin %36.6’sının akupuntur, %37.5’inin müzik terapi, %49.1’inin bitkisel tedaviler, %33.9’u masaj ve meditasyon yöntemi ile ilgili bilgiye sahip iken %59.8’i aromaterapi %55.4’ü biyotedavi, %86.6’sı ayurveda, %79.5’i hipnoterapi %30.4’ü diyet desteği, %73.2’si refleksoloji, %83.9’u reiki, %54.5’i renklerle terapi, %84.8’i aleksandır tekniği ile ilgili bilgilerinin olmadığını belirtmiştir. Çalışmamızda elde edilen sonuçlara göre pediatri hemşirelerinin çocuk ve ebeveynlerinin alternatif/tamamlayıcı tedavi yöntemlerini kullanma durumları ile ilgili yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadıkları ve hemşirelerin bu tedavi yöntemleri ile ilgili eğitimlerle desteklenmesi gerektiği belirlenmiştir.
This research was carried out with the aim of determining the level of knowledge of pediatric nurses about alternative/complementary therapies (TATs). Our investigation, which is of the identificatory type, was conducted using the survey form with 112 nurses who agreed to participate in the investigation between 01.03.2018 and 31.05.2018. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the information levels of alternative / complementary treatment methods of pediatric nurses.Our descriptive study was conducted between 01.03.2018 - 31.05.2018. It was conducted using a questionnaire with 112 nurses who agreed to participate in the survey. The nurses who participated in my research reported, in relation to TAT, 69.6% didn’t know the methods used by their patients, 35.7% received information from the internet, 93.8% didn't take part in the education process, 64.3 % should be given pre-graduation and post-graduation education. While the nurses have information about 36.6% acupuncture, 37.5% of music therapy, 49.1% herbal treatments, 33.9% massage and meditation method, they stated that have no information about 59.8% aromatherapy, 55.4% biotechnology, 86.6% ayurveda, 79.5% hypnotherapy, 30.4% dietary support, 73.2% reflexology, 83.9% reiki, 54.5% color therapy, 84.8% alexander technique. According to the results of our study, pediatric nurses did not have enough knowledge about the use of alternative / complementary treatment methods of children and their parents and has been determined that nurses should be supported by trainings related to these treatment methods
