Abstract:

Menstruation has multiple impacts on women’s life; it affects both daily activities and the productivity of their working life. In the guidance of “The Model of Living”, this study examines the impact of menstruation on the activities and sportive performance conducted by sportswomen. The Model of Living has become a widely accepted model among nurses in the recent years for the reason that it is easily applicable on the nursing process and can be used on healthy people as well as the ill patients. This article calls attention to the roles of nurses in the problems of sportswomen during menstruation. There are few studies concerning the relationship between sportive performance and menstrual cycle of sportswomen. This study aimed to create awareness among the nursing profession about the links between menstruation and the productivity of sportswomen
