Abstract:

The political system consists of many sub-systems, such as the government system, the electoral system, the political party system. For a stable structure of the political system, these sub-systems must be in harmony with each other. The important complementary of the government systems that form the foundation of the political system are political parties and electoral systems. When the changes in these systems conflict with each other, blocks in the political system arise. In fact, when a government system is changed, elections and political party laws must also be changed in accordance with the new system. If the system does not include complementary changes, each subsystem develops a new action that is in conflict with the existing system. The important arrangement of the electoral systems, the representation of political parties or the point of arrival of power, are the electoral barriers. To overcome the barrier barrier and participate in the political structure that will be formed after the election, the parties establish electoral allies. Therefore, the electoral systems directly influence the electoral policies of political parties. The need for pre-election allies, but the coalitions made to be able to participate in the government are the result of the electoral systems in the countries. From these assumptions mentioned in the article, the impact of electoral systems and political party allies on the political system will be discussed in the example of Italy.
