Abstract:

The aim of this study is to investigate whether global citizenship levels of sports viewers in different sports sectors have an impact on aggression. The work group consists of a total of 514 audiences located in Adana and Mersin. In this study, the "Invasion Inventory" was developed by Morais and Ogden (2011) as a data collection tool, adapted to Turkey by Ibrahim Fevzi Shahin and Fatih Çermik, with the "Global Citizenship Scale" developed by Ipek Ilter (1984) with the "Invasion Inventory". In addition, the personal information form developed by the researcher was used to identify the demographic characteristics of the participants. The surveys applied to the respondents to find answers to the research problems were entered into the computer environment with SPSS 15.0. As a result, significant differences in the overall global citizenship, global civil participation and social responsibility underdimensions were identified according to the gender variable of the audience. In the event of going to the competitions, significant differences have also been observed in the overall globalism, global civil participation and global competence. In the case of aggression of the audience, only in the gender variable, the male audience has a significant difference in the low-dimensional of burning aggression compared to the female audience. The regression analysis shows that the variable of social responsibility has a significant (significant) and positive impact on the deductivity, but the global civil participation and social responsibility variables have no meaningful impact. Global civil participation variables appear to have a significant (significant) and negative impact on aggressive aggression, but global capacity and social responsibility variables do not have a significant impact.
