Abstract:

The Neoliberal stage is radically transforming urban life in Turkey. As uncertainty that is characteristic of the new conditions in this stage becomes a form of life, new lifestyle around 'risk and fears' emerged in the city. In the context of the transformations, the city traditions that connect the "traditional modern city" with the private and public life ( neighborhood, neighborhood and street, etc.) It becomes a scary factor due to increased uncertainty. In this study, we will analyze the outcomes of ‘risk, fear and uncertainty’ in urban life in the work and daily life contexts and analyze the effects on daily life. The work has been continued on the secure sites in Istanbul, because the reality in question is a proven example of Turkey. The research is a fiction of the quality, deeply trained within the data collected in the framework of interviews and the data obtained in each interview is examined by the subject of speech analysis. This discussion has been compiled in the context of an example event study of the data selected within a wide field research.
