Self Ad is not only the individual, but also the identificator of the family, community, society and culture. In this study, with the idea that individuals are mutual with their names and agree with them, it is intended to interpret the attitude of giving names in the Alevi and Bektaşi communities today. The basic point of view of the study is to complete the name of the person, the person and the name of the person. However, the name is both individual and social. The name transferred by the individual is in fact the apparent part of the ice; the other part can find the depths of various social experiences from the past to the present. The research universe of the study is Istanbul, and the research sample is from 224 Alevi women and men aged 18 and over who reside in the European side. The research technique is a structured survey consisting of closed end questions, and the obtained data is discussed with an interpretative approach after SPSS data analysis. In the Turkish culture, giving family names to their children with a religious source, then recognized/loved person-oriented and/or ultimately pleasant, can be a preference of social memory, not accidentally. The Alevi and Bektaşi communities, when they name their children by their own traditional concepts, are in a harmonious relationship with the other sections of society. Keywords: Advertising, Alevilik and Bektaşilik, antroponomi, Turkish culture.
