Abstract:

The objective of this study is to study the academic motivations of the students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and the image perceptions of their schools according to some variables. The research method was used in the study. The universe of research was studied at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of a state university located in Ankara by 850 students, while the sampling was made by 343 students selected by the sampling method from this universe. As a data collection tool, the corporate image scale is fifth, and the academic motivation scale is seven Likert-type scale. The Cronbach’s Alpha ratio for data reliability, found .92 for corporate image perception data, .88 for academic motivation data. From parametric tests, because the data is normally distributed, the Pearson Moment's Collapse Correlation, the t test for two groups, the ANOVA test for more than two groups, has been used. The Tukey HSD test was used to test the differences between groups. The analysis finds that there is a positive and meaningful relationship between corporate image perception and academic motivation. According to classes, the academic environment, the physical environment, the size of the social environment and the corporate image have been distinguished. There was no difference between the levels of academic motivation according to the class and gender variables of their students. The level of female students in the low-degree of motivation was found lower than the level of male students. According to first-class students, fourth-class students found that women’s students had lower levels of motivation than men.
