Abstract:

The effect of chronic obstructive lung disease (KOAH) on the volume of the surrenal gland is assessed by computer tomography (BT). NEEDS AND METHODS: Between 01.01.2015-31.12-2016 the volumes obtained in computer tomography for both the right and the left side of the urethra of patients with KOAH diagnosis directed to the University of Sakarya Education and Research Hospital Radiology Clinic and respiratory function tests were compared with solid volunteers by assessing. NOTE: There has been no meaningful relationship between the right and left urethra volume values and the FEV1 values (p>0,05). When compared with the right and left surrenal gland volume values with the FEV1/FVC values, the surrenal gland dimensions in both surrenal glands (FEV1/FVC >70%) were higher compared to patients, but there was no statistically significant difference between them (p>0,05). According to the gender of patients, the correlation of FEV1 values with the right and left surrenal gland volume values has been studied. In female patients, a significant (p:0,040) but low (r:0,241) positive correlation has been observed between FEV1 and the right adrenal gland volume. According to this, the rate of FEV1 in female patients increases, the volume of the right surrenal gland also increases. The surrenal gland volumes of patients with KOAH are similar to those with no KOAH. There is no meaningful relationship between the right and left adrenal volume and the FEV1 values in the KOAH patient group, while a slightly meaningful positive correlation between the right adrenal volume and the FEV1 in the female patients has been identified.
