Due to the reasons such as decrease in preventable deaths, improvement in health services and increase in the access to these services, changes in nourishment and in life style, the life span prolongs and the population ages progressively in our country as well as in whole world. The period of senescence is subject to various types of physical, spiritual and social problems. The foremost health problems for aging women are cardiovascular events, followed by cancer and cerebrovascular events. The rate of mortality for all three diseases increases gradually after 65 years of age. The mortality rate alone doesn’t indicate the status related to woman health. Either physically or socially experienced alterations may result in experiencing certain spiritual difficulties during this period. When the presence of psychological and physiological differences between men and women is considered, aging should be handled and evaluated as a separate entity in regards to the woman health
