The Great War! Year 1914: Ancient empires of Europe has started to fight. Fahrettin Tahsin; was born to Hakizade's household in Nigde-Bor as a new arrival. In the beginning of 1920, the Ottoman Empire, the sick man of Europe; arouses from its' ashes as Phoenix did, into a brand-new republic. The very same days young Fahri started primary school in Bor. In 1930s, he graduated with honours from Secondary and high School in Konya-Aksaray. In the same year, the Republic of Turkey was to take place between modern countries in the world by completing her revolutions one by one. In 1933, Republic of Turkey celebrated 10th year as Fahrettin Orhun entered into the Selimiye Veterinary High School. In 1937, after graduating from Ankara Higher Institute of Agriculture. Interestingly, just as he has begun his academic career, a new world war has erupted in 1939. 1943 while he was in İstanbul Üniversity, Çapa Medical School, Histology and Embriology Departmant as an assistant. His doctoral dissertation was finished in 1946. Fahri Hakioglu who speaks perfect German and English and passes exams with full-marks. Thanks to his professional knowledge and abilities it did not take long before he caught the attention of the renowned professors of the country. In 1950, he has been appointed as Expert parasitologist - pathologist in the Pendik Veterinary Research Institute. In this organization he has made more than 100 scientific researches, and conducted congresses. In the 1970's Dr. Hakioğlu and his team of specialists have done such impressive researches that the FAO has recognized them as equilavent laboratuary. Present days' Pendik Veterinary Control and Research Institute is established by the basis of his strong views. Dr. Fahri Hakioğlu 2 May 1974, was killed in a tragic traffic accident.
