Sezaryen ile doğum doğal doğumun mümkün olmadığı durumlarda hayat kurtarıcı bir girişimdir. Bununla beraber diğer cerrahi operasyonlara benzer olarak birçok riskli durumu, girişim sonrası yaşanabilecek birçok sorunu ve komplikasyonu da beraberinde getirebilmektedir. Sezaryen operasyonu sonrası yaşanabilecek sorunlardan biri olan ağrı postpartum dönemde anneyi sıkıntıya sokmaktadır. Anne günlük yaşam aktivitelerini gerçekleştirememe, kendisinin ve bebeğinin bakımında zorlanma, anne bebek etkileşiminde gecikme gibi birçok sorun yaşayabilmektedir. Bu noktada bireylerle uzun süre birlikte olan hemşirelerin rolü büyüktür. Hemşirelerin ağrı yönetiminde bakım sürecini etkin bir şekilde kullanarak tanılama, farmakolojik ve farmakolojik olmayan ağrı giderme yöntemlerini de hemşirelik girişimlerine dahil ederek uygulamalarda bulunma ve sonuçları değerlendirmeleri önemlidir. Bu derlemede sezaryen sonrası ağrı yönetimin önemi ve ağrı yönetimine yönelik hemşirelik bakım sürecine değinilmiştir.
Caesarean section is a life-saving procedure when natural delivery is not possible. However, as with other surgical procedures, it may cause many risks related to anesthesia and surgical procedure, and many problems and complications that may occur after the intervention. Pain, which is one of the problems that may be experienced after cesarean operation, puts the mother in distress in the postpartum period. The mother may experience many problems such as not being able to perform daily normal activities, difficulty in caring for herself and her baby, and delay in mother-baby interaction. It is important for nurses to use the care process effectively in pain management and to include diagnostic, pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain relief methods in nursing interventions and to evaluate the results. In this review, the importance of pain management after cesarean section and the nursing care process for pain management are discussed.
