Abstract:

This study aims to reveal the impact of personality characteristics on the entrepreneurial tendency. In this context, a survey app was carried out by 362 people from the University of Sakarya's Social Sciences School of Business and Economics and Technical Sciences School of Machinery, Industry and Computer Engineering. The data obtained after the application was analyzed with the SPSS 24.0 program. The results of the analyses found a positive meaningful relationship between the dimensions of personality’s outward orientation, self-discipline and experience openness and the entrepreneurial tendency, while a negative meaningful relationship between the dimensions of emotional imbalance and the entrepreneurial tendency was found. Between the soft head size of the personality and the entrepreneurial tendency, there was no statistically meaningful relationship. It has also been found that personality characteristics and entrepreneurial tendencies differ according to demographic variables.
