Bu romanlar Peyami Safa’nın Mahşer (1924), Halide Edip Adıvar’ın Sinekli Bakkal (1936), Reşat Enis Aygen’in Yolgeçen Hanı (1936), Peride Celal’in Atmaca (1944), Muazzez Tahsin Berkand’ın Lale (1945), Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’ın Sahnenin Dışındakiler (1950) ve Reşat Nuri Güntekin’in Son Sığınak (1961) romanlarıdır.
The Western-style theatre is the dominant of the traditional Turkish theatre until it settles in Turkey after Tanzimat. Traditional Turkish theatre, along with the laughter, is also based on singing, dancing, speech games and scratch. Therefore, in the traditional theatre, the actor’s concept includes the player, the interceptor, the middle player as well as the hokkabaz, the chen, the scratch. In this period, the image of the player in society is quite bad, except for the intrusions. The appearance of a Muslim man or woman as an actor in the Western-style theater, settled along with Tanzimat, is likely to become powerful due to the reasons that this bad image feeds. The fact that the theatrical actor in the Tanzimat novel cannot find the heroes is not possible to review the reflections of the actor's image in the society. Ataturk's possession and encouragement of theatre and theatre actors with the Republic will greatly resolve the problems of the Turkish theatre. The theatre player's image in society reflections in the Republican Turkish novel can give an idea whether the actor's bad image from the past has changed or not. In this study, for this purpose, the novel was written between 1923-60 and the heroes of the theatre actors were studied. These novels are: Peyami Safa's Mahşer (1924), Halide Edip Adıvar's Sinekli Bakkal (1936), Reşat Enis Aygen's Yolgeçen Hanı (1936), Peride Celal's Atmaca (1944), Muazzez Tahsin Berkand's Lale (1945), Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar's Out of the Scene (1950) and Reşat Nuri Güntekin's Last Refuge (1961).
