Abstract:

Geography is one of the most important topics to be assessed in the movement that a military union will do. The maneuver units, logistics facilities and resources needed are needed to analyze the land in order to be distributed in the most appropriate manner. Geographic Information Systems (CBS), as in many areas, have begun to be used by military decision makers in action planning. The development of sensor systems has increased the need for military decision makers to have accurate information about the area of action. The Geographical Analysis System (CAS) developed by the Map General Command in this study was used in the assessment of the "Geographical Area" with an important role in the planning of the military movement; combat field intelligence preparation (MSIH), intelligence summary (ISOS), instant transmission of IHA images to the CAS and air defense threat analysis. This is the aim of increasing the effectiveness of the possible action.
